Pictures of number 1,2,3 are
not wound infections. Picture
No. 1 has some redness which is inflammation, this is not uncommon, especially on
the legs. There is also a yellowish sticky surface which represents fibrinoid exudate, which is also normal.
Picture No. 2 is an allergic reaction
to the adhesive from the bandage. Picture No. 3 has some weeping of tissue fluid,
this and the slight redness from the bandage is normal.

Pictures 4 and 5 are early
would infections. Notice the widespread redness and the
swelling. These sites are warm and tender to the touch.
